‘We’re better connected’
This was a first for me.
A 3’30 commercial, full ad break takeover, for Virgin Media.
Having longer than the traditional 30 or 40 seconds to tell the story, I really wanted to humanise our team of skateboarders, so that the audience became emotionally invested and wanted them to succeed in their attempt to go faster than any group of connected skateboarders have done in history.
We were shooting the world record attempt as part of a live event, rather than a production that we had full control over. This meant meticulous planning, collaborating with audience and amazing teamwork.
Super quick turnaround on this one, with just two days to present the first edit to agency after a two day shoot.

A huge thanks everyone involved, but most importantly to the fast and fearless skateboarders, without whom we wouldn’t have a film.
